About us

Who are we?

A Consumer Resource.

TravelinWheels is the culmination of spending the last 19 years navigating the muddy waters of disability travel with my daughter, Kelsey.   She is a world-class athlete who happens to have Spina Bifida and use a wheelchair.   After spending countless years researching destinations, experiencing mishaps, and learning the hard way, we agreed that there had to be a better way to get and share accessibility information about places around the world.

My background as an internet executive who has spent the last 11 years creating solutions for companies such as Motorola, Time Warner, Comcast, and Ticketmaster naturally led me to  dream of an online place where travelers could get detailed, objective information that was important to them and also contribute their stories and opinions to help others.   Thus, TravelinWheels was born.

TravelinWheels' counts as its advisors, investors, and friends, several business leaders, current and former executives from major travel companies, many disability organizations, and global travel providers.  We are a member of the Society for Accessible Travel and Hospitality, as well as the European Network for Accessible Travel.

More than anything we believe that providing comprehensive accessible travel information will give you the confidence and inspiration to travel the globe, whether it is in a wheelchair, with a cane, or any other assistance you may use.

A Partner to the Hospitality Industry.

TravelinWheels is available for consultation and training to the hospitality industry.   We have seen hundreds of hotel rooms that, while compliant, are not functionally accessible.  We are eager to help our partners in the hospitality industry become leaders in Accessible Tourism and increase their customer satisfaction scores.

Is your city looking to increase visitors with disabilities from around the world?  Considering partnering with us to increase visibility of the many accessible hotels, restaurants, attractions, and transportation options that your city offers.  We'll show you how to tap into the growing power of the $100 Billion global disability travel market.

A Valuable Consultant to any Consumer Product/Service Company.

Do you have a product or service of value to people with disabilities, but don't know how to reach them?  We can help!   Our expertise in product management, process engineering, project management, call center integration, marketing, and strategy is at your disposal!  We have a formula that will result in increased exposure and sales to this valuable, and growing, segment of the market worth over $3 trillion globally.
